WDYPTW: Announcing The Shuffle
The What Did You Play This Week podcast came to life on November 30, 2014, a spin-off of the BGG Geeklist of the same name. It was originally a way for Brandon Kempf to participate in the Geeklist without writing what he played on the Geeklist.
Over the next three and a half years, it grew considerably, with a revolving and evolving cast on the main show, and spin off shows including The Conversation Thing, 30 Minutes Around the Table, and Capital City Cardboard Critics, as well as YouTube Live chats and the Spiel de Jahres specials. In that time, 244 episodes were recorded. In 2017, the podcast was even nominated for a Golden Geek award.
While the July 22 episode marks the end of the What Did You Play This Week Podcast as a stand alone podcast, it will live on as What Did You Play This Week Productions, its next evolution. With this change, WDYPTW will become the umbrella brand for all the shows on its feed -- including The Shuffle, the brand new flagship show. For details on each of the shows, read on.
